Every child enters the world with potential…Jumpstart was built to help deliver on that promise. Unfortunately, statistics show that we are working to overcome a real crisis in American school readiness. 1 in 3 children enters school without the skills necessary to succeed.
Since 1993, Jumpstart has been bringing preschool children and caring adults together in year-long mentoring relationships to build vital literacy, social, and emotional skills children need to thrive. Jumpstart is working toward the day every child in America enters school prepared to succeed.
Jumpstart works to build the early education skills of over 13,000 preschoolers each year in nearly 70 communities in 20 states across America. The results speak for themselves - children who participate in Jumpstart achieve a 26% gain in school readiness skills, gains significantly higher than those of children not in the Jumpstart program.
